When the square dreams of turning into a circle... the squaring of the circle inaugurates a mathematical problem

The square’s daydream (2003)
From head to toe only cloudless walls
Every day is Sunday with my merry wife
The tattoo of a poem joins in our love bed
As a greedy blossom I suck in her clam

What interests him is the unspoken, the hidden underneath, the secret... He also illustrates books, records and other media,

2/ Meanwhile...
I GALLERY & BNF MITTERRAND (PARIS) exhibit black and white. A photograph by Martine Franck, Alpes de Provence (1976), is placed next to a work by Bernard, Sound and return of a bad memory (Bruit et retour d'un mauvais souvenir) (2017). The luminous traces overhung by a cloud in the shape of a flying saucer of Martine Franck bring a mystery. Bernard Gast’s "Painting with Cinema" features a mystery that raises concern about the return of a bad memory through the shadows of trees, but especially the raised arm that recalls the Nazi regime. The exhibition 'Black and white: an aesthetic of photography’ (Noir et blanc : une esthétique de la photographie) brings together masterpieces from the collections of the French National Library (Bibliothèque Nationale de France). Nadar, Man Ray, Ansel Adams, Willy Ronis, Helmut Newton, Diane Arbus, Mario Giacomelli, Robert Frank, William Klein, Valérie Belin, Daido Moriyama, etc. This course contains about 300 prints and embraces 150 years of history of black and white photography, from its origins in the 19th century to contemporary creation. Oct 17, 2023 to Jan 21, 2024 - Bibliothèque François-Mitterrand - Galerie 2

3/ MUSEE D’ART CONTEMPORAIN MAC/CCB – MUSEE BERARDO DE LISBONNE (PORTUGAL)
The Berardo Museum (The Museu Colecção Berardo) exhibits a superb collection of modern and contemporary art by José Berardo. The tastes of this Portuguese art collector and businessman are very eclectic. Indeed, many artistic currents (cubism, surrealism, pop art...) are represented and allow to discover works by Pablo Picasso, Andy Warhol or Salvador Dalí... From painting to sculpture to video, you will be satisfied by leaving this museum which also hosts temporary exhibitions.
The collection of José Berardo has been at the Museum of Contemporary Art – MAC/CCB in Lisbon since October 27, 2023. The State Contemporary Art Collection (CACE), the Teixeira de Freitas collection and the Ellipse collection are also on display.
Names such as Pablo Picasso, Salvador Dalí, Marcel Duchamp, Piet Mondrian, Joan Miró, Max Ernst, Francis Bacon, Andy Warhol, Louise Bourgeois, Paula Rego, Maria Helena Vieira da Silva, Donald Judd, Bruce Nauman or Cindy Sherman, among many others, are presented on the board of the movements that their works allowed to define, enabling a journey through time and an in-depth knowledge of each context.
The new MAC/CCB, which includes the Architecture Center/Garagem Sul, affirms the mission of the Centro Cultural de Belém, enhancing the dialogue between visual arts, architecture, and performing arts with the presentation of temporary exhibitions by contemporary artists.
